Welcome to Bluebonnet Design Studio!

I am a quilter, artist, designer, and teacher. I began sewing in elementary school, and it continues to be my passion today.  My first sewing machine was a gift from my mother, and it introduced me to a world of creativity.  I love the creative process of taking my ideas from a design to a completed project. As an award-winning quilter with over 50 years of experience, sewing is part of my daily life.

I would love to show you how to expand your creativity and design your own unique project. My style of fabric collage and creative stitching is an easy technique for anyone who would like to try a new approach to applique. I want you to have a fun experience without rules (just suggestions) or the pressure of perfection. Students will learn how to combine several elements into a beautiful unique design.
